Optional Tours – EPOS 2026

Optional cultural tours may be available separately for participants and accompanying persons. These activities are not part of the scientific programme and are subject to separate registration and payment. Participation details will be communicated separately.

We are pleased to offer the following optional tours for participants accompanying the EPOS 2026 Meeting. For those interested in, please contact us at eposmeeting2026@eventrium.ro. 

Tours Schedule

• Thursday, 24 September – 12:00 PM (City Tour or Village Museum Tour)
• Friday, 25 September – 10:00 AM (City Tour or Village Museum Tour)
• Sunday, 27 September – 8:00 AM (Full-Day Excursion: Bucharest – Brasov – Bran)

All tours depart from the official congress hotel. The exact meeting point and departure details will be communicated to registered participants prior to the event.

TOUR 1 - BUCHAREST CITY TOUR

Available dates and hours: 

• 24 September at 12:00 PM
• 25 September at 10:00 AM

Duration: 4–5 hours

Itinerary

The tour starts with hotel pick-up, followed by a panoramic coach tour through some of Bucharest's most emblematic landmarks:

• Arch of Triumph
• Victory Square
• Calea Victoriei
• Cotroceni District

The tour continues on foot with guided visits to:

• Patriarchal Cathedral
• Revolution Square
• University Square

The program also includes a guided visit inside the Palace of the Parliament.

Price: EUR 62 per person (VAT included)

The price includes:

• English-speaking professional guide
• Transportation (vehicle size adapted to the number of participants)
• Entrance ticket to the Palace of the Parliament

TOUR 2 - "DIMITRIE GUSTI" VILLAGE MUSEUM TOUR

Available dates: 24 September and 25 September
Duration: Approximately 2.5–3 hours

Discover one of Bucharest's most remarkable open-air museums, showcasing traditional Romanian architecture and rural heritage from all regions of the country. The guided tour offers an insight into Romania's customs, history, and village life.

Price: EUR 45 per person (VAT included)

The price includes:

• English-speaking professional guide
• Round-trip transportation
• Entrance ticket to the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum

Please note: Participants who prefer not to join the organized Village Museum Tour are welcome to visit the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum on their own.

The museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing visitors to choose the time that best suits their schedule. Individual visits are independent of the organized tour schedule and are not subject to the tour price listed above. Admission tickets can be purchased directly at the museum.

TOUR 3 - FULL-DAY EXCURSION: BUCHAREST – BRASOV – BRAN

Hour: 08:00 AM

Duration: Full day

Discover two of Romania's most famous destinations on this guided excursion.

Please note: Advance booking is required. Reservations can be made until 20 August 2026.

If you prefer to explore Bucharest independently, you can discover the city aboard the iconic double-decker Bucharest City Tour bus and enjoy panoramic views of its main landmarks.
